NEED TO KNOW

Our Philosophy

At Celebrate Bhutan Travels & Tours , we believe that travel has the power to transform lives. That's why we are committed to creating meaningful and authentic travel experiences that connect our clients with the world and each other.

Sustainable Development Fee (SDF)

To plan your trip to Bhutan, you will be required to pay the Sustainable Development Fee (SDF) of US$100 per day (per adult; concessionary rates apply for children). More information about the SDF can be found here. The SDF is a government tax that does not include other services like accommodation, meals, transport and guide services.

We build our cost over the SDF. The SDF is a fee that goes directly to the government.  The SDF is collected by the national exchequer and funds are allocated to various projects.  The SDF supports sustainable opportunities for Bhutanese people through free healthcare, education, training, tourism upskilling, infrastructure development, environmental and cultural preservation, and local business support. It also helps maintain Bhutan's renowned forest cover, carbon neutrality, and tranquil guest experiences.

Visa

There is a one-off fee of US$45 for the processing of your visa. This is payable at the same time as your SDF, as part of the process of submitting your visa application.

Our Charges

We build our itinerary costs based on the duration of your visit, type of accommodation and services you require. Our rates can be anywhere starting USD 250 per day per person including select services. Please visit our itineraries section for more information on pricing.

Best time to visit according to us

The best time to visit really depends on what you like to see. If you are a nature enthusiast and like the mountains and trekking then Sept-October are great! If you want to relax and enjoy Bhutanese culture and life then we believe any time is  a good time to visit as different seasons offer different experiences.
